Ann Marie Michaels

With over 20 years of experience in digital media and advertising, Ann Marie's client list includes Apple, AT&T, Disney, MTV Networks, Sony, Warner Bros., FOX, Turner Networks, Levi’s, Old Navy, Target, Clinique, L’Oreal, E*TRADE, Nestle, Accenture, Bank of America, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Coors, and Quaker Oats.

 

She began her career as a developer in Silicon Valley at CKS Interactive in 1995. She went on to produce groundbreaking digital advertising at top firms including Razorfish, Foote, Cone & Belding, Deutsch, and Schematic (now Possible).

 

Ann Marie graduated with honors in the Department of Radio/Television/Film at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of UT's Advanced Communications Technology Lab (ACTLab). She is also the author of Cooking to Hook Up: The Bachelor's Date-Night Cookbook (Globe Pequot, 2004).


Seth Shapiro
Chairman

 

Two-time Emmy® Award winner, Seth Shapiro is a leading advisor on the future of media and technology. His work includes projects with Disney, Comcast, DIRECTV, Intel, IPG, NBC, Showtime, Verizon, Universal Pictures, Goldman Sachs and a range of early stage ventures. He has launched several digital startups, has appeared in federal media matters before the FCC, speaks throughout the world on innovation and technology, and is writing his first book on the history and history of televison.

 

Seth is Governor of Interactive Media at the Television Academy (Emmy Awards) and an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He is Principal of New Amsterdam Media and Chairman of Village Green Network. He was previously Partner at Media Valuation Partners and Co-Founder of ARC (VOD service in 15 million homes).

 

As Head of Production at DIRECTV Advanced Content & Services, Seth launched over 25 services on four platforms, including the NFL Sunday Ticket Digital Suite, Microsoft's UltimateTV® and DIRECTV TiVo, the world's first major DVR platform.

 

Seth sits on the Annenberg Innovation Lab Research Council, the Producer Guild's New Media Council and the Advisory Boards of Aficionado Media, the Mobile Excellence Awards, PICNIC Festival Amsterdam and OVP Venture Partners. He is a frequent keynote speaker in the US, Europe, Latin America and Australia and is a long-time member of the Interactive Media Peer Group’s Executive Committee. Seth is Magna cum Laude graduate of New York University and was Adelbert Alumni Scholar at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music.


Pauline Massart
Social Media Manager

 

Pauline makes sure the best of the network is being shared on social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram. She is from Belgium where she studied International Business. She came over to the US to study a certificate in Global Sustainability at UCLA before joining VGN. Before that, she worked in Australia and back home in Belgium in Marketing and Sales for a watch company. She quickly realized that her real passion was in the environmental and sustainability fields, with a particular interest in food and agriculture.


Matthew Michaels
Technical Design Lead

 

Matthew has over 15 years experience in creative design, print collateral, interactive customer interfaces, advertising, direct mail, web and multimedia. He has led design and production of multiple, national advertising campaigns and managed client brands for Radiant Systems, Iris Data Services and the Xact Group. He as worked with clients Microsoft, NCR, IBM, Yum! Brands, Dunkin' Donuts, Jamba Juice, Chipotle and the Metromedia Restaurant Group. Matthew graduated from ATI Technical Institute in Dallas in 1998 with a degree in graphic design. His emphasis of study detailed conceptual design, communication strategies, desktop publishing, photo manipulation and color theory.
