Ann Marie Michaels
President / Founder


Ann Marie founded Village Green Network (formerly Real Food Media) in 2008. She began her career in 1995 in Silicon Valley working at CKS Interactive. She went on to produce digital advertising at Razorfish, Foote, Cone & Belding, Deutsch, and Schematic (now POSSIBLE).


Ann Marie's client list includes Apple, AT&T, Amazon, Disney, MTV Networks, Sony, Warner Bros., FOX, Turner, Levi’s, Old Navy, Target, Clinique, L’Oreal, 1-800-FLOWERS, Nestle, Accenture, Bank of America, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Avis, Coors, Match.com, Quaker, Random House, Kodak, and Hallmark. Her groundbreaking advertorial online campaign for Toys "R" Us was featured in Businessweek.


Ann Marie is a graduate of the Department of Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin and a member of UT's Advanced Communications Technology Lab (ACTLab). She is also the author of Cooking to Hook Up: The Bachelor's Date-Night Cookbook (Globe Pequot, 2004).

Seth Shapiro


Two-time Emmy® Award winner Seth Shapiro is a leading executive and advisor in digital media. His work includes cutting-edge projects in television, online, games and music with the Walt Disney Company, Comcast, DIRECTV, Intel, Time Warner, McCann, Showtime, Universal, Verizon, Goldman Sachs and a range of new ventures. He is a Governor of Interactive Media at the Academy of Television of Arts & Sciences, the organization that bestows the Emmy Awards.


Shapiro is President of Village Green Network, Principal of New Amsterdam Media and Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He was previously a Partner at Media Valuation Partners and co-founder of ARC, a VOD service in 15 million cable homes.


As Head of Production at DIRECTV Advanced Content & Services, Shapiro launched over 25 services on four platforms, including the NFL Sunday Ticket Digital Suite, Microsoft's UltimateTV® and DIRECTV TiVo, the world's first major DVR platform.


Shapiro sits on the Annenberg Innovation Lab Research Council, the Producer Guild's New Media Council and the Advisory Boards of Aficionado Media, the Mobile Excellence Awards, PICNIC Festival Amsterdam and OVP Venture Partners. He is a frequent keynote speaker in the US, Europe, Latin America and Australia and is a long-time member of the Interactive Media Peer Group’s Executive Committee. Seth is Magna cum Laude graduate of New York University and was Adelbert Alumni Scholar at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Christopher Tellez
Creative Director


A 20-year veteran in the digital space, Chris comes from a deep background in Creative Direction, Art Direction and Design within games and advertising. He has helped to build and launch major campaigns and grow brands by leveraging a cross between design acumen and production process savvy to create experiences, games and digital campaigns for a renowned list of the worlds top brands including Disney, Warner Bros., HBO, Showtime, USA Networks, NBCU, Samsung, Unilever, RedBull and more. He lives in Los Angeles and is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

Pauline Massart
Social Media Manager


Pauline makes sure the best of the network is being shared on social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram.


She is from Belgium where she studied International Business. She came over to the US to study a certificate in Global Sustainability at UCLA before joining VGN. Before that, she worked in Australia and back home in Belgium in Marketing and Sales for a watch company. She quickly realized that her real passion was in the environmental and sustainability fields, with a particular interest in food and agriculture.

Matthew Michaels
Technical Design Lead


Matthew has over 15 years experience in creative design, print collateral, interactive customer interfaces, advertising, direct mail, web and multimedia. He has led design and production of multiple, national advertising campaigns and managed client brands for Radiant Systems, Iris Data Services and the Xact Group. He as worked with clients Microsoft, NCR, IBM, Yum! Brands, Dunkin' Donuts, Jamba Juice, Chipotle and the Metromedia Restaurant Group.


Matthew graduated from ATI Technical Institute in Dallas, TX in 1998 with a degree in graphic design. His emphasis of study detailed conceptual design, communication strategies, desktop publishing, photo manipulation and color theory.
